Grilled egg-mayo sandwich


Aah ....one more sandwich again .Sandwiches are always a family favourite,and when it is grilled then its icing on the cake .Aptly suited to this weather especially the chilly evenings  .A hot grilled sandwich with a cup of coffee......nothing matches to this pleasure of comfort food.A ready to serve breakfast option.Though I am trying to avoid mayonnaise as much as possible(thanks to calories it carries) I couldn't resist my self from adding it to this.With crispy outer crust and juicy (mayo),egg bits along with the crunchy cucumber and tangy tomatoes  will surely transport you into the  land of bliss.It will be a bit  messy but I think you don't mind paying it for a mouth full of flavours.


INGREDIENTS

  • bread
  • boiled eggs
  • chilly mayo
  • sliced cucumber
  • sliced tomatoes
  • olive oil or butter for drizzling
  • salt to taste(optional


METHOD

  1. Chop the egg whites,trim the edges of the bread.
  2. Heat the grill or a pan
  3. Add chili mayo to the egg whites and mix it.
  4. On a bread slice add the egg mixture spread it evenly ,place cucumber slices ,tomato and close it with another slice of bread  and give a gentle press.
  5. Drizzle a  little olive oil or butter on the upper bread .
  6. Place the greased  bread on the lower side of the grill and drizzle some  olive oil on the top bread .
  7. Grill it until it turns golden.
  8. Serve hot with a cup of coffe
